Exploring Coastal Science @NCCR

The National Centre for Coastal Research (NCCR) offers opportunities for school, college and university students to familiarise themselves with and pursue research in various disciplines of coastal sciences.

To encourage awareness and inspire interest in coastal research, NCCR facilitates guided visits to its laboratories and research facilities throughout the year.

During these visits, students can:

• Explore ongoing research in different areas of coastal sciences
• Learn how science helps protect our coasts and oceans
• Interact with scientists and researchers
• Gain exposure to instruments and methodologies used in coastal research
• Develop curiosity and awareness about careers in ocean and environmental sciences

Application Procedure:

• Institutions (schools, colleges, and universities) may submit a request to visit NCCR in advance through the Google Form
• Visits are subject to scheduling availability and approval by the Director, NCCR
• The session isorganized and tailored to the academic level of the visiting group
